Situated at an elevation of 7,000 feet above sea level, Park City enjoys a pleasant climate during the summers and thus attracts tourists from other parts of the country. Park City is reputed to be the “City of the Wealthy” and here you will find many stylish and expensive outlets, restaurants and clubs.

There are many State Parks in the vicinity of Park City with the Jordanelle and Rockport Reservoirs being the closest. These State Parks are a hub of activities during summers. There are hiking trails, mountain biking trails and trials for horse back riding. Camping can be done on the camping grounds and there is an RV camp ground provision as well. The camp grounds have play areas for children, rest rooms, hot showers and in some campgrounds laundry facilities as well. Boating is a popular activity of the State Parks. You can rent a sailboat or a powerboat; water skiing and sail boarding can also be done here. Fishing is another enjoyable way to spend your time as are swimming and sunbathing on a rock. Pack a delicious lunch and enjoy a picnic on one of the many beautiful picnic spots. Tourists can also spend their time sightseeing and golfing.

As the snow melts, the hills of Park city become a major mountain biking, hiking and horse back riding area. You can choose from the simple trails to the more challenging ones and enjoy the scenery on the way.

The hot air balloon rides and the aerial tours give a panoramic view of the magnificent Park City area. For more fun you can head towards the Park City Mountain Resort for the thrilling alpine rides and slides. With over 3,000 foot of track, the Alpine Slide is surely one of the world’s longest slides. Experience and be thrilled with the Olympic luge and bobsled as you slide down and negotiate the twist and turns in one of the 4 lanes. Each lane has different number of turns and curls.  The Alpine Coaster will lead you down the mile long mountain track full of crooks and curves. Soar high with the Zip Rider; it takes you over the tree tops at a speed of 45 mph. The Quicksilver is a steel track based on European pattern. The riders go down a narrow path which eventually ends at the base of the K 64 ski jump. Xtreme and Ultra Ziplines are other sensational rides.
