Awesome Balcony-Great Kitchen-Right on the Water-Lots of Extras

Comment: We come to the beach every year and this place was the best for many reasons. The view is spectacular. The beds are comfy. The TV is awesome. I love the huge table - seats 8 and perfect for dominoes. The garage is perfect for dropping off boogie boards and beach chairs. The house is located close to the boardwalk. A personal walkway to the beach would be amazing. It wouldn't take much to make this place perfect. Replace pedestal sinks with counter tops. There was no place to put a hair brush, makeup, toothbrush, etc. Add a shelf next to the sink for keeping toiletries nearby. Fix dangling shower heads. Add brighter lights to the stairways. And if you charge a cleaning fee, then make sure it's clean. We left it better than we found it. The balcony was spewed with red jello. The corners in the house had debris. We found loose candy mixed in with the clean dishes. The Ice Maker would have been nice if it worked. The turn table was missing in the microwave. I rated this place very high because those things were not enough to mess up a wonderful weekend. I only mentioned them because I hope these improvements will be made by the time I come next year. YES! I'd definitely visit again! This is an awesome place!

Comment: I have never enjoyed a trip to Port A more!! This house is amazingly close to the beach which is what a trip to the beach was all about!! The drain in the master bedroom shower is slow to drain.

Comment: Though weather was windy and cool, the setting was comfortable and cozy. View is gorgeous, being right on the dunes overlooking the Gulf. The flat screen TV in the main room has some kind of hiccup which we could not eliminate, a black box obscuring the lower half of the screen alternating at times various channels. Kitchen was well equipped. Great to have washer/dryer easily accessible. Very tastefully decorated. Enjoyed our stay. Like Port A very much. The whooping crane festival is a real plus: great tours and highly informative lectures. Port A has good restaurants especially for a community of its size. Thanks. D and K Larson

Comment: howerver,if you have small infants, keep in mind it is three stories high. It could get hectic watching your children, making sure they don't climb up and down the stairs.

Comment: Upstairs shower head clip needs to be replaced. Coffee pot not original for coffee maker and had to rig it to make it work. Everything else was terrific!

Only thing I would recommend is the location of this house. Otherwise, not worth the $$$.

Comment: I would recommend purely on the location of the house. Oven did not work last two days of our stay and no one ever came out to fix it as we were told. We had to use neighbors oven for our cooking. We had to rig up two shower heads as they would not stay in their holders. Smoke detector went off randomly, starting at 4:30 a.m our last morning and keeping us up. One toilet ran all four days we were there. Lost some of our food we took due to refrigerator not being cold when we got arrived. When I checked out and was telling the person at the office all this, she never got up from behind her desk to come to the counter to talk to me. Very unprofessional. Not worth the $550/night we paid, except for the location.

Comment: One of the best locations in the community without a doubt! Remarkable balcony view and close to the pool. First night the refrigerator would not cool so we had to keep everything on ice but it eventually kicked in on day 2. The ice maker was broken and the master drain was backed up. We left a msg for the management team but never got a call back. All in all the place was fantastic so this certainly did not detour us from having a great vacation and will look to stay at the same place again in the future.

Comment: 1.The Microwave over the stove did not work , but there was a small portable available 2.the shower on the 3rd floor was not working properly - fixture damaged 3. Couple light bulbs out too many people parked 3 vehicles in driveways making parking a challenge we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it

Comment: In summer the mosquitoes by the dumpster are like a swarm of killer bees. I would suggest they do something about it immediately due to the health risks! I did see some roaches on the premises, some bait would be helpful. The pictures on the website are dated, property is older now and pictures do not reflect aged property. There were lights out with electrical wires exposed on patio. Pans provided are missing teflon coating and need to be replaced for health reasons. We did love the beachfront and views. The beach was clean and wellkept. We had a wonderful time and will probably come back again due to the location.
