Comment: The location is wonderful. The deck is fabulous - you can see the ocean but are away from the wind. The whole place needs to be updated. The ice maker does not work. The only comfortable bed is the king in the master bedroom. The 2 smaller bathrooms have showers the size of a travel trailer, hardly room to turn around! The couches were in fine condition and the linens were ok. It was ok, but I'll probably not return.

Comment: We had a great time at Port A just kicking back and relaxing, and the house had a great location and floor plan but it was very dirty my grandchildren had to wear socks around in the house because the floors would make their feet turn black. It is a shame it hasn't been better maintained.

Comment: Dust everywhere, cobwebs on the walls and ceiling fans. Dirty when we arrived and charged $50 for not taking out the trash. Did I mention that our unit, reserved 6 weeks in advance, was given to another party about an hour before we arrived? Will never rent from Port A Escapes again.

Comment: The unit was continually hot. The french doors would not shut. The blinds are old and broken. The unit is actually smaller than what the pictures lead you. One sofa was really old. There is no internet service not only in that unit but several of the units. The towels and linens were ok, plenty of hot water, mattress in several rooms were really bad. The beach access and pool were nice, parking was really nice. The unit it's self needs alot of updating and fixing. The cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms are really old. Master bedroom was ok, but you could not open the french doors and the blinds are really bad. It might be an expense but the units needs an additional fridge maybe in the garage, when you have 12 people there the one fridge is not enough. Also they need a new dryer,the one there is rusted. The carpet was ok. The house was clean as it could be. Need more bakeware, serving dishes, and dishes. More pots and pans.

Comment: The trip started out rocky with no electriciy but ended fantastic. everyone had a great time. The property manager was on top of things to ensure that we were taken care of. I would highly recommend units 11LC and 3LC. 2LC was not up to the same standard as the other two. All three units were very clean and fully stocked with the types of household items needed. Thank you Port A Escapes for a great weekend.

Comment: The only thing that I thought was a pain was that we were required to empty all trash cans and haul all of our trash to a dumpster at the end of the complex before we left. Felt like that is a service that should be apart of the cleaning fee that we paid. $50 seems like a steep price to pay, too, for not taking care of that duty.

Comment: We rented two units right next door to one another, which was very convenient with a large group of friends and family. For the most part I can't complain, however, the refrigerator in Beach Music did not work, and the outside faucet would not turn off and no one came out to look at it (after a call to mgmt). I understand in order to stay in a clean place, someone must clean it- but we had to do extra duty cleaning (laundry, trash duty etc) and then on top of that we were charged a cleaning fee. Everything else was absolutley fabulous- the location in proximity to the beach is perfect and the beach is VERY nice and clean. We have many people that will be coming back to Port A!!

Comment: The only issue during our stay was the amount of seaweed on the beach and in the water, which is not the fault of the property company and/or unit. I was told that the seaweed season is from late May to late June. I made a mental note to remember that. Otherwise, we had a great time and would definitely stay there again (just not during seaweed season).
