Driftwood is in a great location, close to everything and because it is not one of the huge condos, the beach was not crowded and neither was the pool area. Great place and highly recommended.

Comment: on the beaches, but they were clean where we were at. There would be a tar ball here and there that would wash up during the night with the sea weed but it was nothing to be concerned with by any means. In my opinion and others, the sea weed was much more of a problem than the oil was. The kids still played in the water and on the beach along with other children and adults. Crude oil is not going to hurt you even if you get it on your skin. People should not listen to the news media because they do not have their facts correct. I am glad we went to Gulf Shores on vacation, it was a great time for all!!

Driftwood 4G is a really great,spacious condo almost homelike and owners seem to be very consciencious....we switched over there from Royal Palms 306 which was in real need of: a deep cleaning, mattress pads or new mattresses (mainly sofa) and new balcony furniture (so dirty was unusable).Also 306 is really more appropriate in size for 4 total, a couple and only 2 small children.

Comment: The condo appeared to be spotless upon first glance, but then the roaches started appearing. The first night I killed roaches until after 2 a.m. I finally gave up and went to bed with the lights on. The next morning I called Bender Realty at 8a.m. and it was after we called a second time that a pest service finally sprayed-- after 4p.m. the second day of our stay. The spray did not help, I think it made them mad because there were more after the spray than before. Bender gave us a 15% discount for the third night we stayed, but they could have done much better than that seeing how we were being the pest service.

Comment: We did have the unfortunate arrival of oil on the beach at the same time we arrived but even with that we had a great time. We decided to give it a go and enjoy the pool and the quiet and we got both. One of the by products of the oil scare is a less busy beach and plenty of room at the pool without the fight for lounge chairs. The property, although older, is in great shape and our room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this property to anyone.

Driftwood 4G is a really great,spacious condo almost homelike and owners seem to be very consciencious....we switched over there from Royal Palms 306 which was in real need of: a deep cleaning, mattress pads or new mattresses (mainly sofa) and new balcony furniture (so dirty was unusable).Also 306 is really more appropriate in size for 4 total, a couple and only 2 small children.

Comment: The condo appeared to be spotless upon first glance, but then the roaches started appearing. The first night I killed roaches until after 2 a.m. I finally gave up and went to bed with the lights on. The next morning I called Bender Realty at 8a.m. and it was after we called a second time that a pest service finally sprayed-- after 4p.m. the second day of our stay. The spray did not help, I think it made them mad because there were more after the spray than before. Bender gave us a 15% discount for the third night we stayed, but they could have done much better than that seeing how we were being the pest service.

Comment: We did have the unfortunate arrival of oil on the beach at the same time we arrived but even with that we had a great time. We decided to give it a go and enjoy the pool and the quiet and we got both. One of the by products of the oil scare is a less busy beach and plenty of room at the pool without the fight for lounge chairs. The property, although older, is in great shape and our room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this property to anyone.

There would be a tar ball here and there that would wash up during the night with the sea weed but it was nothing to be concerned with by any means. In my opinion and others, the sea weed was much more of a problem than the oil was. The kids still played in the water and on the beach along with other children and adults. Crude oil is not going to hurt you even if you get it on your skin. People should not listen to the news media because they do not have their facts correct. I am glad we went to Gulf Shores on vacation, it was a great time for all!!

Comment: We loved working with Bender!They are very gracious. Driftwood 4G is a really great,spacious condo almost homelike and owners seem to be very consciencious....we switched over there from Royal Palms 306 which was in real need of: a deep cleaning, mattress pads or new mattresses (mainly sofa) and new balcony furniture (so dirty was unusable).Also 306 is really more appropriate in size for 4 total, a couple and only 2 small children.

Then on the checkout day we got a call at 9:00 a.m. saying they had rented the room and we had to leave by 10:00 a.m. Also, we would really like it if they intalled restrooms near the pool area.

Comment: The condo appeared to be spotless upon first glance, but then the roaches started appearing. The first night I killed roaches until after 2 a.m. I finally gave up and went to bed with the lights on. The next morning I called Bender Realty at 8a.m. and it was after we called a second time that a pest service finally sprayed-- after 4p.m. the second day of our stay. The spray did not help, I think it made them mad because there were more after the spray than before. Bender gave us a 15% discount for the third night we stayed, but they could have done much better than that seeing how we were being the pest service.

Comment: We did have the unfortunate arrival of oil on the beach at the same time we arrived but even with that we had a great time. We decided to give it a go and enjoy the pool and the quiet and we got both. One of the by products of the oil scare is a less busy beach and plenty of room at the pool without the fight for lounge chairs. The property, although older, is in great shape and our room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this property to anyone.

Comment: on the beaches, but they were clean where we were at. There would be a tar ball here and there that would wash up during the night with the sea weed but it was nothing to be concerned with by any means. In my opinion and others, the sea weed was much more of a problem than the oil was. The kids still played in the water and on the beach along with other children and adults. Crude oil is not going to hurt you even if you get it on your skin. People should not listen to the news media because they do not have their facts correct. I am glad we went to Gulf Shores on vacation, it was a great time for all!!

There would be a tar ball here and there that would wash up during the night with the sea weed but it was nothing to be concerned with by any means. In my opinion and others, the sea weed was much more of a problem than the oil was. The kids still played in the water and on the beach along with other children and adults. Crude oil is not going to hurt you even if you get it on your skin. People should not listen to the news media because they do not have their facts correct. I am glad we went to Gulf Shores on vacation, it was a great time for all!!

Driftwood 4G is a really great,spacious condo almost homelike and owners seem to be very consciencious....we switched over there from Royal Palms 306 which was in real need of: a deep cleaning, mattress pads or new mattresses (mainly sofa) and new balcony furniture (so dirty was unusable).Also 306 is really more appropriate in size for 4 total, a couple and only 2 small children.

Comment: The condo appeared to be spotless upon first glance, but then the roaches started appearing. The first night I killed roaches until after 2 a.m. I finally gave up and went to bed with the lights on. The next morning I called Bender Realty at 8a.m. and it was after we called a second time that a pest service finally sprayed-- after 4p.m. the second day of our stay. The spray did not help, I think it made them mad because there were more after the spray than before. Bender gave us a 15% discount for the third night we stayed, but they could have done much better than that seeing how we were being the pest service.

Comment: We did have the unfortunate arrival of oil on the beach at the same time we arrived but even with that we had a great time. We decided to give it a go and enjoy the pool and the quiet and we got both. One of the by products of the oil scare is a less busy beach and plenty of room at the pool without the fight for lounge chairs. The property, although older, is in great shape and our room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this property to anyone.

Driftwood 4G is a really great,spacious condo almost homelike and owners seem to be very consciencious....we switched over there from Royal Palms 306 which was in real need of: a deep cleaning, mattress pads or new mattresses (mainly sofa) and new balcony furniture (so dirty was unusable).Also 306 is really more appropriate in size for 4 total, a couple and only 2 small children.

Comment: On the beach a strange black male came out every day and continually tried to take our picture. We found this highly annoying. If he would have been removed our trip would have been much more pleasurable.

Then on the checkout day we got a call at 9:00 a.m. saying they had rented the room and we had to leave by 10:00 a.m. Also, we would really like it if they intalled restrooms near the pool area.

Comment: The condo appeared to be spotless upon first glance, but then the roaches started appearing. The first night I killed roaches until after 2 a.m. I finally gave up and went to bed with the lights on. The next morning I called Bender Realty at 8a.m. and it was after we called a second time that a pest service finally sprayed-- after 4p.m. the second day of our stay. The spray did not help, I think it made them mad because there were more after the spray than before. Bender gave us a 15% discount for the third night we stayed, but they could have done much better than that seeing how we were being the pest service.

Comment: We did have the unfortunate arrival of oil on the beach at the same time we arrived but even with that we had a great time. We decided to give it a go and enjoy the pool and the quiet and we got both. One of the by products of the oil scare is a less busy beach and plenty of room at the pool without the fight for lounge chairs. The property, although older, is in great shape and our room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this property to anyone.

Comment: on the beaches, but they were clean where we were at. There would be a tar ball here and there that would wash up during the night with the sea weed but it was nothing to be concerned with by any means. In my opinion and others, the sea weed was much more of a problem than the oil was. The kids still played in the water and on the beach along with other children and adults. Crude oil is not going to hurt you even if you get it on your skin. People should not listen to the news media because they do not have their facts correct. I am glad we went to Gulf Shores on vacation, it was a great time for all!!

Driftwood is in a great location, close to everything and because it is not one of the huge condos, the beach was not crowded and neither was the pool area. Great place and highly recommended.

Comment: on the beaches, but they were clean where we were at. There would be a tar ball here and there that would wash up during the night with the sea weed but it was nothing to be concerned with by any means. In my opinion and others, the sea weed was much more of a problem than the oil was. The kids still played in the water and on the beach along with other children and adults. Crude oil is not going to hurt you even if you get it on your skin. People should not listen to the news media because they do not have their facts correct. I am glad we went to Gulf Shores on vacation, it was a great time for all!!
