Horseshoe Bend National Park in Dadeville- The park is located in east-central Alabama and its historical importance lies in the fact that it was here that General Andrew Jackson's forces broke the power of the Upper Creek Indian Confederacy and opened large parts of Alabama and Georgia for settlement.
Sloss Furnaces outside downtown Birmingham- It’s these furnaces that Birmingham owes its existence to. These furnaces produced iron for the first 90 years are now a historical landmark. What adds to their attraction are the spooky stories surrounding them.
Landmark Park in Dothan- If you are on a family holiday, you must visit the Landmark Park, not only will your children get an interesting lesson in history (and we assure you they won’t even think of dozing off!) but you will also feel like a time traveler as you stroll through the 1890s living history farm.
